Le point Ephémère, on Canal St.-Martin, draws an arty crowd. Housed in a vast industrial structure, the complex is a fun house and creative incubator for artists and musicians that encompasses a bar-nightclub (with frequent D.J’.s), an exhibition space (with rotating shows) and a concert area. If the music gets too loud, buy a pint of beer (5.50 euros), retire outside among the canalside quaffers and listen to them explain why their band is better than yours.
This hunk of Berlin in Paris was only ever meant to be temporary, but thankfully it’s still around. An uncompromising programming policy delivers some of the best electronic music in town; there’s also a restaurant and bar with decks and a gallery, and terrace space by the canal in summer.
« Point Éphémère is a great concert venue/art exhibit/bar/club/house party type of place off of Canal St. Martin. It was such a fun place, and we want to go back to see some concerts (they have one nearly every day!). »
