Free entrance at Galerie de l’Atelier Brancusi. November 9 2011 – July 30 2012 (14h00 – 18h00). Born in 1876 in Romania, Constantin Brancusi lived and worked in Paris from 1904 until his death in 1957. The bulk of his work was created there. In his will he bequeathed to the French state all of his Atelier, located impasse Ronsin, Paris XV. It was rebuilt in the Piazza in 1997. A unique collection, consisting of 137 sculptures, 87 bases, 41 drawings, two paintings and more than 1600 photographic plates of glass and original prints.
