Presidential campaign: Migrations

By Annie Shepherd for The Parisian Post.

Hollande overtakes Sarkozy in the first round with Le Pen 3rd, winning a surprisingly high 18 %. The Left not too jubilant, remembering how they lost spectacularly to Le Pen in 2002. Prominent government members defect to the Left. Credit Municipal de Paris beseiged by requests for money in exchange for goods, becoming a substitute for the banks.

.

.

A climate change and the birds migrate

from Right to Left, take off for new mates

Hirsch, Fadela, crow’s nest emptying

ganet Le Pen preens her feathers, gliding.

« It’s now or never » the blackbird sings

in the shadows of April 2002

while Sarko ruffled is losing his swing

never too clever at serenading

go-it-alone crow, too much parading

he brings in his darling, the Coppé starling

‘no immigrant birds, no government debt

we’ll turn the tables, there’s time yet!’

for the show must go on fifteen more days

birds of a feather flying amock

here, there everywhere against the clock

the vote decided by the undecided

for what is the difference between blackbird and crow

when it really comes down to Yes and No?

both the same colouring if not the same swagger

both of their beaks like shining daggers.

Meanwhile queues for credits – throw in your jewels

to pay the rent and order the fuel

and EU sanctions are lifted in Burma

and more migration from Mali to Niger –

white and black Tuaregs, rebellion fever

and UN observers watch over Syria –

a holding hand, but who helps who?
